Gratitude Post – What is Dr. Shamblott Thankful For?

This is such a wonderful time of the year. The fall leaves paint the landscape with warm colors, and the air is cool and crisp. I love Thanksgiving because we focus on gratitude, family, and of course, delicious food.
During the Thanksgiving season, I always take stock of many things I am grateful for in my life. And while I could never truly count every single one, I wanted to share with you a few things that I’m thankful for every single day.
Health and Happiness. What is life without these two components? I’m grateful that I can live in a way to stay both healthy and happy. I know there are many people around the world who aren’t as fortunate and don’t have the means to maintain a healthy lifestyle or access to the miracles of modern medicine.
I’m also thankful that I’m able to help my patients stay healthy and happy. That’s a huge reason I love my job so much. Optimal oral health helps patients maintain their overall health, and I’m honored that I can contribute to their well-being and happiness.
Loving Family. My family is the most important thing in my life. My beautiful wife, Kate, is a constant source of love and support for us. My daughter, Rachel, inspires me every day with her kindness and dedication.
I’m so thankful to have a family that I can work with and relax with! Kate plays a vital role in keeping the office running smoothly, and Rachel helps me talk to everyone about the importance of their dental health.
Caring Friends. I’m also thankful for our friends. My friends, both old and new, are so compassionate and encouraging. I have some truly exceptional people in my life. I’m grateful for the memories I have with them and look forward to the many good times we will have in the future.
Warm and Welcoming Home.  While blankets of white snow can make for calming and beautiful scenery, the bitter cold they bring can be brutal. Minnesotans are known for their tolerance for the cold, but it should also be known that we’re huge fans of modern heating technologies!
I’m thankful for my warm and welcoming family home that helps me through the Minnesota winters. I’m also grateful for the essential women and men who have the knowledge and skill needed to fix my heating system if it’s ever on the fritz! It may seem silly, but this is so important in this region!

Amazing Staff and Wonderful Patients. I’m grateful that I work in a place I love with staff and patients who brighten my days! Without my amazing staff, the office would simply fall apart. I’m only able to do what I do with the dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm that the staff at Shamblott Family Dentistry provides.
The same goes for my patients. Every bit of the work I do is to better the health of my patients – and to get them out of pain as fast as possible. They bring so much joy and fulfillment to my life. My patients are the ones who keep me passionate about the work I do!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
